Jonathan D. Forgy
Jonathan D. Forgy has over 20 years of experience in public and private accounting. He has worked with issues involving individual tax and estate planning, corporate taxation, accounting-finance and mergers.
Education
Jonathan received a Bachelor of Science degree in both Accounting and Finance from Cal Poly Pomona in 1978, a Master of Science degree in taxation in 1985, and a CFP® certification in 2004.
Experience
Jonathan started his career with Dean Witter Reynolds as a registered representative and first obtained his securities and insurance licenses in 1980. He took his interest in tax law and joined a CPA firm in 1983 where he was a tax partner until 1993. In 1993 Jonathan accepted finance positions with what became an affiliated group of private (Parke Industries) and public companies under the parent company, Carolina Power and Light. During the next seven years, he served as CFO and Director of Finance of the affiliated companies. In 2001 Jonathan returned to public accounting, joining Parke, Guptill & Company, LLP to continue his business and tax consulting career. In 2004 he attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.

Jonathan is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the California Society of CPAs.
Community Involvement
Jonathan resides in Glendora with his wife Weijia (who is also a CPA) and their three children. The kids stay busy with school work, piano lessons and golf. Weijia is always busy and Jonathan sneaks in a little golf and tennis.
