Daniel E. Duir
Besides an outgoing personality and a sense of humor, Dan Duir brings to the table over 20 years of experience in public accounting, including 12 as a partner. Known as a generalist, Dan has dealt with business and individual clients in all phases of accounting, auditing, income taxes, consulting and planning.
Education and Experience
Dan received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Cal Poly Pomona in December 1984 and started in public accounting in May 1985 with Miller and Giangrande, CPAs in La Habra, California. In 1989, he moved on to Yip and Watkins, an Accountancy Corporation, in El Monte, California. After two years with the firm he was promoted to Partner.
In 1999, Dan left public accounting for a position as CFO/Controller for a small service company. But his passion and heart was still to be a CPA and dealing with clients, and he decided to come back into public accounting with Parke, Guptill & Company, LLP. Dan was hired as a Manager in July 2001 and became a Partner in October 2003.

Dan is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the California Society of CPAs.
Community Involvement / Personal Interests
Dan currently resides in Claremont with his wife Kelly and their three sons, Chris, Tim and Alex. The Duir family has been involved in local sports, community and theater groups over the years. His wife Kelly is a substitute teacher in Claremont.
When not in the office, you will most likely find Dan at the soccer field catching a high school or club game, watching his sons Tim and Alex, or catching a performance by his son Chris, who is attending Cal State Fullerton as a musical theater major. Dan also likes to mix in some sports with the boys as well as getting in a few rounds of golf. The Duir family enjoys travel, movies, theater and dining out.
